Ferry Sailing Times:
From Vancouver (Tsawwassen) to Victoria (Swartz Bay): 1 hour 35 minutes
From Vancouver (Tsawwassen) to Nanaimo (Duke Point): 2 hours
From West Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay) to Nanaimo (Departure Bay): 1 hour 35 minutes

Driving Directions:
From Duke Point (Nanaimo):
Follow Highway 19 North towards Parksville/ Campbell River. Take first exit (exit 46) towards Parksville (Rathtrevor Beach). Stay on Highway 19A - Oceanside Route - and turn right at NW Bay Rd. (by Esso Gas Station/Riptide Lagoon Adventure Golf) and make an immediate right onto Resort Drive. Look for the TANGLEWOOD sign directly ahead. Approximate drive time 45 minutes. .

From Departure Bay (Nanaimo):
Follow signs to Highway 19 North towards Parksville and Campbell River. Follow same directions as Duke Point. Approximate drive time 20 minutes.

From Downtown Victoria:
Follow Douglas Street north. Stay on Douglas as it turns into Highway 1. Just south of Nanaimo, take the exit for Highway 19 to Parksville and Campbell River. Approximately 30 minutes down the road take exit for Highway 19A -Ocean side Route - and turn right at NW Bay Rd. (by Esso Gas Station/Riptide Lagoon Adventure Golf)and make an immediate right onto Resort Drive. Look for the TANGLEWOOD sign directly ahead. Approximate drive time 2 hours.

From Comox Airport:
From airport, turn right onto Knight Rd. Turn right onto Military Row . Turn left onto Ryan Rd. Follow Ryan Rd. (past Home Depot and down hill), and turn right at the 17th St. Bridge (17th St.) - while on the bridge get into the left hand turning lane. Turn left onto Cliffe Ave. (Island Highway 19A). Just look for the OCEANSIDE ROUTE signs (same as the OCEANSIDE LOGO/ MAP we have on the left side of this page) and follow it to us. Click on the OCEANSIDE ROUTE LOGO to the left to see a map of the Parksville / Qualicum Beach area.

You can take the scenic route (recommended) by staying on Island Highway 19A south to Parksville - go through the town, and turn left on NW Bay Rd (Esso Gas Station/Riptide Lagoon Adventure Golf) and make an immediate right onto Resort Drive. The Tanglewood Driveway will be directly ahead. Alternatively, you can take the Island Highway (Highway 19).

Approximate drive time on either Highway 19 or Highway 19A is 1 hour.

Air Travel:
If you are traveling light, in 20 minutes Harbour Air can take you from downtown Vancouver to downtown Nanaimo. A rental vehichle or shuttle services can be arranged prior to your visit.

COMOX AIRPORT / NANAIMO AIRPORT
Comox Valley Airport is about 1 hour north of Parksville, and the Nanaimo Airport is approximately 30 minutes south - either airport provides excellent access to Vancouver Island from Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and elsewhere with regularly scheduled flights. A rental vehichle or shuttle services can be arranged prior to your visit.
